[IDEA] I though of an idea for dlc

This probably has already been thought of but i though this needed to be heard
The dlc should be the black water heist. I would say something like the casino heist in gta online where you do a bunch of setups and then do the thing
Another reason this would be great is you can play as Arthur again i know i was very sad when Arthur died and i didn't play rdr1 so i wasn't attached to john marston and maybe they could have a second save file dedicated to the dlc where its basically the end of the game where you can free roam and the story is over but the camp is there at a camp before the snow storm and you get to explore the map before the story mode like the house thats being built by horseshoe overlook has just a pile of lumber and no house
I think this is a great idea but am sad this this will probably never happen

15 Most Famous Slot Machines and Most Popular Slot Games

1. Liberty Bell

Invented and designed by a San Francisco mechanic named Charles Fey in 1895, the Liberty Bell is the first slot machine. The main symbols here include horseshoes, stars, spades, diamonds, hearts, and Liberty Bells. Once three bells are aligned, the machine pays 50 cents.
Having a coin slot at the top, it features small reels in the middle and a paytable at the bottom. It works like this - players insert a Nickel and pull a lever on the right-hand side to spin the reels. Although the Operator Bell and Liberty Bell have been removed from casinos, the original Liberty Bell on display can be seen in the Liberty Belle saloon in Reno, Nevada.

2. Lion's Share

One of the most famous slot machines, Microgaming’s classic slot Lion's Share, gained a lot of success back in 2014, due to news channels that discussed the topic on how Lion's Share's progressive jackpot hasn’t been hit for two decades. Thousands of people have tried but no one was lucky enough to pull it off.
Although the machine only featured 3 reels and only 1 payline, Lion’s Share has managed to become one of the most popular releases in Vegas, so popular that people waited in line just to put a coin into it and try spinning those reels.
Eventually, a New Hampshire couple hit the $2.4 million progressive jackpot in MGM’s Grand’s Lion’s Share. Soon after, MGM Grand made a decision to retire the Lion's Share machine since it required a lot of maintenance. Still, the game became part of slot history with a jackpot that took 20 years to win.

3. Megabucks

Created by IGT, Megabucks has managed to become one of the world's best progressive slot machines. The game is also responsible for numerous big wins throughout the entire jackpots’ history. Also known as the biggest money jackpots of all time, Megabucks slot machines are described as simple games with a massive progressive jackpot. One of the biggest wins was when an anonymous engineer won a staggering $39.7 million at Las Vegas' Excalibur, back in 2003.
As for the other big wins hit on this machine, there was a cocktail waitress Cynthia Jay Brennan who snagged an incredible $34.9 million at Vegas' Desert Inn, as well as a retired flight attendant hitting $27.5 million at Vegas' Palace Station. Johanna Huendl won $22.6 million whereas an Illinois businessman hit $21.3 million on the very first spin.
However, after winning the prize, one of the winner's family members had a tragic accident, which (as some believe) only supported the theory of a Megabucks curse. Other unfortunate stories are just believed to be urban legends, including anecdotes about underage players, as well as casino employees, being big winners but not being able to claim their jackpots because of specific state laws and regulation.

Unibet getting a Midwestern foothold

https://www.gambling.com/news/unibet-entering-indiana-and-iowa-sports-betting-markets-2207600
Unibet is coming to Indiana and Iowa. And in effect, it’s coming to the state wedged between them: Illinois.
Kindred Group on Tuesday announced a 10-year agreement with Caesars Entertainment to gain market access into Indiana and Iowa – and “potentially other states,” according to a news release – to operate both online sports betting and gaming through its Unibet brand.
Kindred, through Unibet, can immediately begin seeking licenses in both states, which would double its footprint in the United States. Unibet currently operates in New Jersey and Pennsylvania sportsbooks. Its online Pennsylvania sportsbook is operated in partnership with Mohegan Sun.
Unibet’s New Jersey sportsbook is through a deal with Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.
In Indiana, Unibet will ally with a Caesar’s Horsehoe Hammond property less than 30 miles from Chicago, giving it a key outpost to tap into an Illinois market left fallow because of regulatory delays.
Most important, the deal will bring mobile and online betting options to a property battling to compete financially without it.

Unibet Can Tap Into Chicago Market

Sports betting was legalized in Illinois in June, but a launch date remains nebulous and seemingly far-off. So Illinois bettors continue to pour over the Indiana border from the city of 2.7 million to patronize the likes of Horseshoe Hammond and DraftKings-affiliated Ameristar East Chicago.
Ameristar’s January sports betting handle of $73,037,356 led all 13 Indiana providers – $170,813,254 was collected in the state – with $65,993,539 coming from that sportsbook via mobile. Caesars never launched a mobile product for Horseshoe Hammond, negating its proximity as the nearest Indiana sportsbook to the Chicago metropolitan area.
Unibet’s Iowa peg will be at Harrah’s Council Bluffs, which is just across the Missouri River from Omaha, Nebraska, and nestled in the metropolitan statistical area of nearly a million. Mobile betting accounted for about 59% of Iowa sports betting handle in January. Ten of 19 Iowa sportsbooks offer mobile or online sports betting.
Kindred US senior vice president Manuel Stan said he was “thrilled” to expand the company’s American presence with Caesars.

So I’m relatively new...

I’ve been playing for a few months now. Mostly online and with friends (never for real money). I played in one tourney at the local casino. I’m in Omaha, Nebraska. The closest one that holds tourneys is the Horseshoe in Council Bluffs, IA. I just feel it would be better for me to learn table educate in home games. Yet I can’t seem to find any. And friends don’t care enough about the game of poker to play on a regular basis. If anybody has advice for me, it would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Guys' trip to Shreveport + Horseshoe 1/3 NLH weekend review

I went to Shreveport this weekend for a guys' trip. This is my experience. This will be long and a lot will be common knowledge to live grinders. Believe it or not, I did cut out A LOT of unnecessary info..
I just want to start by saying the 1/3 game at The Horseshoe was AMAZING compared to the 1/2 games I've played 8+ years ago at Chocktaw/Winstar. I really hate low stakes NLH because of the 6-10x standard open and capped buyin, which basically turns the post flop game into a short stacked 2/5 game. 1/3 at The Horseshoe allows you to buy in and match the biggest stack. All of a sudden those $20 opens aren't so crushing. I've heard there is a 1/3 at Winstar. If you play there, please let me know if they have the same buyin setup.
First night, I get there, they just opened a new table, and I was able to sit down with people who also just arrived. I asked about the straddle situation. I do enjoy the button straddle element to the game, but rarely use it. They said if the table agrees, we can do a straddle/button straddle. We agreed. They put a small sign next to the dealer that indicates straddles are allowed. For those who don't know, a button straddle is where the button can double the big blind and take over as last to act pre. Once a button straddle is on, the small blind is now UTG and first to act. This table ended up being the best table I've played with probably ever. Most were drinking. There was a decent amount of action. Table talk was fun. I was immediately surprised how comfortable these players were that sat down. They all seemed to play very regularly and seemed like they would be good. Spoiler, they weren't. The players were limp/calling pre and very passive post for the most part. I get the feeling most would describe their game as TAG or LAG, but nearly all were completely Loose-Passive and Holdem Manager would label over half the table as fish. In online terms, I'd say this was a 45VPIP/10PFR table, which for my nitty game usually means cha-ching! I was right. By the end of it, I was in for $400 at 7:45pm and out at 11:30pm for $918. The free drinks were great and I got a bit drunky, which is mostly why I got up. I'm usually the worst drunk poker player ever, but managed to stick with the strategy this time. I didn't play a flashy game. I was nervous and had shaky hands for the first hour. I just played super tight, fold or raise pre(only limping blinds and rarely), big squeezes with premiums, and take it down on the flop or turn. I would have liked to have made smaller value bets to keep players in, but I was pretty determined to post a win and was quick to take them down. That way I can talk my wife into letting me play live more. I haven't played live at a casino in 2 and a half years and that makes me sad. Profit: $518 over 3.75 hours Stack: https://i.imgur.com/c2341xO.jpg My stack next to my buddy's absurd stack. He's a genuine LAG and much better than I am. https://i.imgur.com/6TDlVCh.jpg You can also see the button straddle sign in red next to the dealer
It was a guys' trip and we don't all play poker, so I didn't want to spend all my time at the table. I continued the drinky, including celebratory shots, and went to bed at 1am. Sadly, the dad in me woke up at 7am anyway. Two of my friends wake up at 8:30 despite staying up til 5am. We all get ready and watch Tiger play at the hotel until the only place we could find that has TV opens up, Hooters.
At 12:30, I'm back at the table. I'm pretty sure most of the players came from a dwindled 2/5 game because I look around and see some mega stacks from multiple OMCs. At least 3 have black chips($100) and I see a lot of green chips($25) out there. I think the big stack had about $2.5k. This table was a lot tighter preflop overall. I'd say this was about a 30VPIP/15PFR table. I play my same game waiting for cards. I end up about $150 up after an hour. I picked up queens and had a good flop. Took down $100. I did the same with an AK hand. Then I ran into a couple of OMCs that were not havin' it. I squeezed to $22 in position with AQo. OMC pops it to $225 after having limped originally. I let it go. Another hand, the King OMCs raises to $10. I raise to $25 with AJs. King OMC calls and the flop is AT3 with a flush draw possibility. I have top pair and no flush draw. Yay! I lead out for $25, which now I think I'd rather have checked. OMC pops it to $65. I think this is an easy call and see what happens, but this man has made zero plays so far. I mean, he has just sat there and I'm at times genuinely concerned he might be dead. Not this time. He woke up and I just folded. I had a weird feeling and let it go. Not long after that hand, and I shit you not, another OMC walks up to his king and at some point I hear the words "I wish they could hook this straight up to my veins." King OMC laughs in approval. I am not making this up. About this time, I'm ready to leave. I was super hung over, my hands were shaking even when I wasn't in a hand, and I had one of those back of the eyeball headaches. And let's face it, this table is not a great one for my game. In for $600 at 12:30 and out for $634 at 2:30. Profit: $34 over 2 hours (Did not take picture of my $34 profit stack)
I go back to my shithole room at Diamond Jacks and take a nap while my buddies hit up the pool. When I say shithole, I mean the tv is an old tube that cuts off the far right and left of every channel. Nice Jacuzzi tub, though. I can't complain too much. The room was only $250 for Friday and Saturday nights, which means I only paid $125 since we split the room. The TV: https://i.imgur.com/IeDtjtD.jpg https://i.imgur.com/EYaNrXJ.jpg Not bad Jacuzzi tub: https://i.imgur.com/5hKcyv5.jpg
After the nap, we eat and I'm back at the tables at 7:30. I'm super groggy this time. The table is great for action, but full of shady individuals who don't talk. I watched one guy pick up his big blind after the dealer forgot to scoop it in the pot. A few of us noticed, but didn't say anything. I later found out the guy he screwed out of $3 was his own brother. I have a few good hands. I had queens again that won me $40 preflop when I squeezed to $80. I picked up another $60 when I get AsJs and 5 $12 callers. I flopped two spades and bet $35 to take it down. Headache is gone, so that's a plus. Good news. After almost 2 hours, I'm up nearly $200. I decide to go ahead and pack it up. The trip has paid for itself, I'm too exhausted to concentrate, and time to get drunk one last night before it's back to reality. In for $400 at 7:30, out for $598 at 9:15. Profit: $198 over 1.75 hrs Stack: https://i.imgur.com/VwBOWbJ.jpg Again, my buddy's stack on the last night. He ended up winning all 3 sessions with over $2k profit for the weekend: https://i.imgur.com/hAoSVYP.jpg
Total of $748 over 7.5 hours ~$100/hr Yay!
TL;DR Went to Shreveport for a guys' trip. Had a great time. Found the 1/3 game is big and players are generally passive. Won some money and my friend won a lot more. I highly recommend it for those internet grinders who want to leave their basements every once in a while and try out live poker.

Played in my first large tournament (1038 players, $125k prize pool)

I'm a long-time poker player. I mostly play cash games, but in the past I used to play a lot of free/cheap online tournaments with reasonable success. I've also played a couple small live tournaments (and won a 27-player cheap one).
Feb. 17-19, the Horseshoe Casino in Robinsonville, MS (Tunica) had their big $50k guarantee tournament with $160 buyin. I booked a room for four nights and decided to go down and play in my first big tournament.
There were three opening flights: Friday 6pm, Saturday 11am, and Saturday 6pm. All surviving players would return Sunday to finish the tournament. I decided to play the Saturday 11am flight so I wouldn't miss out on the better cash games. Friday night, I won a few hundred bucks playing casino games, so it wouldn't really hurt too bad if I did poorly in the tournament.
On my Day 1, I ended up being at the table with the previous $50k's winner. We talked poker, he complimented me on my gold, and we got into a couple of hands together. I managed to get almost half his stack before he got unlucky against another player and was knocked out of the tournament.
I took a big hit just 7 hands before the end of Day 1's play and ended up going into Day 2 with 37,500 chips instead of ~130k. The antes would start at 500 with 2k/4k blinds so this was far from ideal position. Average stack size at this point was $66,000.
On Day 2, I just kept playing solid poker against some of the better poker pros in the region. We didn't have any world champions but there was a ton of local talent. I managed to stay aggressive while picking my spots. The day started with 152 players and paid 108. I survived long enough to cash but I never played to cash - only played to win.
I ended up taking 42nd place out of the field of 1038 and took down $438 on my $160 buyin. I never made any huge mistakes, just a few smaller ones that I was able to get away from.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the tournament and look forward to going back in April to see if I can go deep again!
I'll post a couple of hands I thought might be interesting.

(LONG) The Ultimate Trip Report: 7.5 Action-Packed Days in Mid-October. Lots of Budget-Friendly Activities!

Just returned from the most epic week in Las Vegas with my husband! We budgeted about $1000 per person for the week, all expenses included. We went over by a couple hundred in the end. We planned a lot of activities and sightseeing in advance to avoid gambling too much out of boredom. We weren't very lucky at anything except blackjack, but we were able to leave Vegas at only $40 in the hole between the two us, which I consider a moderate success! And we weren't bored for a minute!
Day 1 (Wed 10/19)
Day 2 (Thurs 10/20)
Day 3 (Fri 10/21)
Day 4 (10/22)
Day 5 (Sun 10/23)
Day 6 (Mon 10/24)
Day 7 (Tues 10/25)
Day 8 (Wed 10/26)
Thanks for reading! I might try to come back and add some pictures and links here as I get the chance. Feel free to ask me about anything we did!

Rob Coventry outshines 1147 players in Horseshoe Hammond Main event

The final stage of the 2014 World Series of poker Main Event will unfold in Las Vegas 10 days from now, with poker professionals already packing for the States. Meanwhile, most of them play over the Internet in tournaments and sit down at cash game tables at Sky Poker. The prizes can't match the amounts won in major live events, but even so, they greatly boost the bankroll so those who make a deep run in these tournaments. Every now and then, the online poker room runs qualifiers for live tournaments, so those who don't want to pay the buy-in out-of-pocket can choose this path. The 2014/2015 World Series of Poker Circuit is not among the tournaments that have qualifiers, but those who plan on participating had spent only $1675 to participate in the Horseshoe Hammond main event. The tournament was hosted by a casino near Chicago, with a total of 1147 players sitting down at the tables and the prize pool exceeded $1.7 million. There were several bracelet winners among the participants, which explains why it took so long for the bubble to burst and the final table to be decided. Rob Coventry was among those who made a deep run and brought a healthy stack to the final table, which kept him alive and in good shape against some experienced opponents. The 31-year-old plays poker for fun and has a day job that sustains his activities, but after winning in excess of $300,000, he can take a break or go on vacation. Rob has clear plans for what to do with the money, so despite the fact that the winning was somewhat surprising, he doesn't have any questions to answer. He usually has few opportunities to play live poker tournaments, but it was definitely a good idea to make time for the Rob Coventry Horseshoe Hammond main event. The other participants who made it to the final table enjoyed an excellent return on investment, with the prizes collected ranging from $31,000 to 10 times the amount: 1 Rob Coventry Chicago, IL $313,9932 Viet Vo Pearland, TX $193,9353 Steve Billirakis Las Vegas, NV $144,1094 Michael Telker Ballwin, MO $108,3925 Robert Noe Ingleside, IL $82,5326 Shannon Mastin Greenfield, IN $63,5907 Darren Deuser St. Louis, MO $49,5688 Dennis Huberts Chicago, IL $39,0739 Ken Baime Glenview, IL $31,141

Horseshoe Casino awaits Baltimore players

Compared to Atlantic City and Las Vegas, Baltimore is not exactly a major American gambling hub, but this is what makes the opening of a new casino a special event. Orioles fans who also have a secret passion for gambling in land-based casinos, will rejoice knowing that Horseshoe Casino has finally opened its doors. The event was highly anticipated and Caesars Entertainment made no secret of the fact that they will be opening a new casino in Maryland. Four more companies opened casino resorts this year, which says a great deal about the rising popularity of gambling at this stage. So far, the legislators are yet to take decisive actions in terms of legalizing online gambling, but such laws are probably closer than they seem. Delaware and New Jersey are two of the neighboring states who already jumped on the bandwagon and there are plenty of governors who contemplate the possibility of following their lead. There is no shortage of interested investors either, with prominent poker rooms, bookmakers and online casinos being interested to spend money here. 32Red Casino announced its intention to establish a more permanent position in the United States and Baltimore looks like a great place to start. For the time being, state residents in general and Baltimore folks in particular have good reasons to check out the Horseshoe Casino, because there is plenty of action waiting for them behind these doors. A total of 2500 slot machines, in excess of 100 life table games and even a World Series of Poker room are bound to provide all the adrenaline rush that poker players could hope for. As stated above, there are other casinos operating here, but in terms of size and magnitude this is by far the most successful one and this should translate into a huge number of customers. The partnership with William Hill casino is supposed to be mutually beneficial, making the Horseshoe Casino the only one to offer outdoor gaming. A lot of money is expected to go towards state coffers, but even more important is the fact that the new venture will lead to the creation of thousands of jobs. The vast majority of those working here are Baltimore residents, which is great news for the cash-strapped city.
