Best way to get a few thousand casino tokens to start? [DQ11]
I just got to the casino and I want some of the gear there but all the farming methods I've seen require you to start with at least a few thousand and I don't have a lot of gold so the 1 token slot machines are a pain in the ass to play. Is there a quest or something that gives you some tokens as a reward?
Don't understand anything about the casino in DQ11
Playing through DQ11, got to Puerto Valor and wanted to try the casino, but have no idea what I'm doing. Spent a couple thousand gold to buy tokens; tried poker, but after playing many rounds, I always just lost or got back exactly how much I bet. Is there some trick, or do you just have to be insanely lucky to make any money? Tried the Slots, but the rules are extremely confusing. I just want to spin some slots, not have to go on an adventure with a slime where I recruit monsters and fight bosses. There were parts where I just mashed the buttons and automatically won for like 20 spins in a row, one time I got 777 but nothing really happened, sometimes the slots go dark for no apparent reason... It just seems extremely complicated. Sorry if I'm just being really dumb, which is probably the case, but when I go to the casino for some distraction from the story I don't really want to read and memorize 5 pages of rules about a slime going on an adventure. Any help is appreciated.
If you haven't gotten to the true post-game in DQ11 please ignore this post as it may contain spoilers. Has anyone noticed how when you end up going to the past that Octagonia is a casino when it shouldn't be? The only reason the place was a casino in the first place was because the monsters wanted a casino. On another note the puff puff girl at the Battlegrounds shouldn't be waiting for you by the cliff because you don't go there till the "end of the world" event. Not sure if there's anything in game that explains this but i haven't found it. EDIT: I ended up winning 4 million casino tokens before going to the past because i was expecting no casino to be there.
Deciding to waste some time at the casino before heading out to fight a sea monster. I’d been using slime quest just for the auto option and it was ok but not amazing. Decided to give slots a try but involved too much clicking (or holding, I could only get turbo to work when holding it and my thumb says no to that!) but with a trusty hairband I’ve just made 50,000 tokens whilst sorting out some dnd stuff! (probably 2 hrs max, didn’t hit a single jackpot sadly) Reminds me of playing dq8 when I was younger using a hairband to run into walls for the alchemy pot! So glad I got dq11, and I don’t understand how people are finishing in under 100 hrs! I’m at 40+ and am pretty sure I’m no where near the mid game!

DQ11S might just have the potential for unlimited rare items if you can redo the dupe trick in Arboria by jumping back with the 2D/3D swap feature; you can get doubles of items that come AFTER the dupe trick Erik's previously unique post game accessory that gives a massive boost to item drop rate? you can get a second. as well as any other powerful or rare items you get after the chance to do the trick Seeds? you can farm them at a rate of about 24-48 an hour (144 seeds, 3-6 hours to speedily complete Act 2) if you use all 6 character's inventory fully; you don't even need 144 seeds at first, you can grow a small amount exponentially to a point by using the trick also, when you swap to 2D or 3D, the chests and pots reset, so those treasures are open once more so, if the Arboria dupe trick can be exploited again and again, it has scary potential, if anyone who has beaten DQ11S can quickly replay the end of Act 3 (from right before giving Benedictus the orbs) to the point in Act 3 where you get the items you duped back, it'd be nice as I'm in the final moments of Act 1 right now Oct. 18, 2019, Edit: I've beaten the Timewyrm and plan to go back to the very beginning for a NG+ run after getting some more casino tokens; I'll have this answer soon and will make a new thread so more people can see the results
